RS Turbo or Turbocharged RS1800
Thats what im thinking about now for my next car.
Do i go for a nice Zetec Engine and Turbocharge it
Or bag a 1.6 cvh turbo and tune that
What are the tuning potentials with these two cars
sticking with the original engines

A Zetec turbo is a much nicer engine, has a lot more potential but costs more.
If you're turbo'ing an RS1800 you're gonna need all the ancillaries - intercooler, ECU etc, whereas a FRST will have them all and you can upgrade the relevant items as and when needed.
Depends on your budget more than anything.
I'd get an RS1800 and save up for a 2L turbo to go in it.

Looking in performance Ford, You see all these 0-60, 1/4 mile times n that in peoples fiesta. Names like Paul Ripley 2.1, Gary Muller 1.9, I Howell
Now i guess they havnt stuck with the original engine? EG 2.1ZVH's n
1.9 American bottom ends n all that.
What im after for my next car is tunable upto about 200-250bhp preferably with same engine in. This possible?
Im edging towards an RS1800 now instead of RST but gonna turbocharge.
Now do i stick with 1.8 or get 2L as Ade said.
Where does th 2L engine come from? Mondeo again?

Yes a Mondeo engine.
If you only want 250bhp then i'd suggest staying with the RS1800 engine. Why if you've got a perfectly nice engine change to another just because its its a 2.0 ?
But i know what someone's gona answer..... because you get more torque.
