rs turbo or zetec?
ok im getting my self stuck in a on going rut and some appreciated advice will be most helpfull..
heres the score...... at the minute i have a 2.0 zetec running r1 bike carbs in my mk3 fiesta, its goes well sounds awsome and the rest.
now i was planning on removing this engine to fit an rst engine. (before i had it)
if i convert to turbo it will be from an escort rs and will be running mfi etc. or do i keep the zetec in (which is proving to be a good setup) and tune it up abit more for some more ponys??
zetec turbo is out of the question i must add as i dont have that kind of budget..

Re: rs turbo or zetec?
it doesnt have to be mega expensive to do a zetec turbo mate, just need to overcome a few obsticles im doing a low budget one now and hasnt cost a lot at all, i would say stick with the zetec over an rst engine as the 2l is more powerfull than the rst to start with and the mfi setup imo is crap!

Re: rs turbo or zetec?
sorry bud, if the conversion goes ahead then my zetec is already sold to my mate for his mk2.
dangerousdave... i have had a look at your build thread, and i can get most of the parts needed for a zt doing it the way your doing.
if i do choose to start collect my parts, would you let me know on a price for one of them inlet manifold adaptor plates please for frst to zetec? if you dont mind knocking a couple up if yours goes well? thanks shaun

if there your only options then definately stick with the zetec... unless you have every part brand new mfi is a waste of time
