jay thanks again for your help in all manner of things..
my rs is undergoing a resto at the moment and now runs :) it wouldnt start due to wiring issues but ive sorted now (dodgy immobilizers and wiring). when finished it will be totally standard as far as i can make it which is why i have the matt black 2i to mess about with and modify/improve things. the xr2i is in daily use and has never let me down yet and is really good on fuel compared to other cars ive had mk1+ mk2 xr2, mk3 xr3i etc.

i have been asked a few times if its wrapped  but in actual fact i painted it with aerosol, about 40 cans of the stuff @ £4.00 a can....also took lots and lots of prepwork and determination for it to look right. i done the bonnet three times till i was happy with it. have to say though i would never do it again,i was just after summat a bit different.

RS turbo looks tidy mate! Need more pics :) am liking the xr2i aswell looks good, are you keeping the morrettes? If so have you thought about some tinting spray for the indicators next to them? I think that would look much better :Q

been a long time since last post and been busy with the rs resto
ive been learning all along with the rs enjoying it most of the time, other times its a pain.
still i have learnt new skills along the way and plan to paint it myself..my first full respray with gun and compressor!
will post some pics when i get time.
the xr btw is still motoring along nicely, been used as a daily for almost a year now and never missed a beat.
since my last posting i have had my indicators tinted and thought they looked well with the morettes.
just recently though ive had a hankering for standard lights and am now running these.
thought about selling the morettes if anybodys interested b4 they go on the bay.
im pretty sure i bought these off luca from ebay.

yeh luca, i thought they must have been your old morettes, only clicked on when watching one of the trolley vids
so this must mean them lights have been 150 mph at one point ha they'll never see that speed again on my car!
have been thinking of selling them tho cos i need to raise a bit of cash to spend on the rs...id like to at least get my money back on them which i think was about 90 quid
