Just read through, amazing. Do you have to do engine work with a supercharger conversion? Also, i thought that an intercooler was only needed on a turbo due to the heat of the turbo? Also, is the cost of a conversion like this on par with that of a turbo conversion?
Anyway, awsome project and get more vids up!!!

Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.

Pistons and rods is stock. I change only cams, custom Hemingway header and exhaust, sligtly ported head, new piston rings.
A couple of months ago i start building new engine with eagle rods and ross pistons. I have rods now and waiting for pistons.
Then i will run 12 to 13 psi of boost and some nitrous.
Roots supercharger produce a heat so intecooler must be there or its beter to have one...
Measquirt works perfectly and its easy to install it.

Ok i go to 0.55 bar of boost now and new R888 tyres. I have race on sunday on 201m and run belive or not 8.9s. I beat a lot of cars like new 4x4 impreza sti, VR6 supercharger, Honda supercharger, dodge stealth biturbo, fiat tipo 3.0 V6 turbo with alfa engine... Its amazing that engine is still with stock pistons and rods... Its seems like i do proper tuning and im realy hapy.
One movie of race...

Heeeey mates it is good to be back and im here with new 2.0 project.
So there is the plan. Like to built supercharged 2.0 engine with eagle rods, JE pistons, Escort turbo transmition with LSD and of course with NITROUS....
i can give you some picture for now but soon i will get more of them.
diferencial from turbo escort:
I will get some goodies for this thing soon to become LSD...
Aha almost forgot to tell you what hapened to me. I was constantly rising the boost of charger and somewhere in july pistons didnt hadle that pressure any more. So the last race was be on o.75 bar of boost on 10:1 comp ratio with stock internal parts and runing 13.02 second on 402 meters... I think that the best option for stock engine is 0.6 bar withouth engine and fuel pump problem...
Aha new pistons are 9:1

hemingway :I have one trick for you mate
Are you planning to weld the diff solid? Not a good idea, it makes the FWD car imbossible to turn and will it break eventually something... and the traction is not that good compared to proper LSD.

Good to hear you pushed it to destruction on the standard internals, it alllllways helps to find these limits. What will your supercharger top out at in terms of boost pressure? Did it run lean and melt the pistons or was the fuelling okay and they just didn't like the heat?

Im realy angry on that because im not 100% sure what is the cause of melted piston. Fueling seems to be ok but late i have some ugly minds in my mind because I do some changes on supercharger belt tenzors at the night before i have race... I finish my work 23.00 at night and then go direct to Croatia to race and i didnt have time to check fuel mixture but mybe that miner changes causes a litle more boost pressure and fuel pump didnt handle that any more... So mybe it is possible to run eaven higher boost in stock engine but i will not try that any more...
But on the race i did two runs. On first run was not be any problems with knocking or anything. I run 13.12 but on second run i go 13.0x and when i run thru the finish line i smel something which is not good
I didnt open that engine jet... mybe when i do that will be more clear what hapened.

Great project, get some more pictures up.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Interesting. It's likely, if you were running 0.75 bar boost, that the engine would've been making 215bhp if the charge was being cooled. I can't remember if you have an intercooler or not though If no, maybe it was more like 180bhp, but either way, your fuel pump, if it's still standard, may have been incapable of keeping the fuel pressure up to where it needed to be. So maybe the engine CAN take more!

Hm dont know but dyno show that i have 184.8 wheel horse power at 0.38 bar of boost and 209 DIN power. So i think that with 0.75 and have 13.0 time must be ower 210 on wheels. Yes i have intercooler... You must know that i have specialy designet headres and DrSchrick cams in my car so it must be a litle more power becausse of that to.....
And yes engine mybe can handle more, I like to be sure on that to

Loving your work! Well done with that supercharger conversion I love to see something different where people have come up with their own ideas and initiatives and it all works out.
Saving hard for a supercharger for my beast now but the one I'm having is designed for the focus st170 (svt) from the good 'ol US - f~~~ing expensive!
