RS1800 Tuning

Postby fezzydemon on Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:02 am

I've got a standard Fiesta RS1800 and i'm wanting some advise on tuning it up. Whats would be the best upgrades I can do to give me better bhp and is it possible to make it a turbo.
Thanks

Yes you can turbo it but to do it properly costs a lot of money.

If you want to keep your engine (some people like to for originality) I'd start with a full cat back exhaust system from the likes of Magnex, remove the EGR system (if it has one in place), Panel air filter in the standard airbox (but drilled on the cold side), A set of Piper's fast road cams and a chip. We made 143bhp on a DynoDynamics (EgoBuster) with these mods on an Escort GTi.

If you're not worried about keeping the 1800 lump drop a 2.0 in out of a Mondeo.
