Cat heat shield springs to mind, is it kind of a buzzing rattle?

You say it's when you accelerate, but do you mean when you press the accelerator, or only when moving/accelerating?

If it does it when stationary too, I'd lift the bonnet and open the throttle by hand and see if you can see anything like the engine moving a lot (like what heeman10 was trying to suggest), or at least get a better idea of the location of the noise.

Could be the trust bearing (clutch) grinding or whining when you accelerate or de-accelerate!

An option anyway :P

I have also just started to get this sound. But after my forge actuator was iinstalled. Only starts to make a sound when Iam giving it some welly. Accelerate. Any ideas what this could be. Coming from the front, so engine and you can kind of feel it though my foot. Driving frst stage 1.

Still having this issue. Sounds grainy. Thinking could it be the turbo on it way out?
