Postby J282VJN on Wed May 09, 2007 10:37 pm

Hi!

Please could some one tell me if the rear brakes from a Mk5 escort Rs2000 fit on a FRST

I already have the full Rs2000 rear beam including discs calipers and pads!

What do i need and how is it done!

Thanks! :D

Yes it can be done but without an expensive pedal box with blance bars you'll have a car that's very scary when the middle pedal is pressed. I would honestly not bother and stick to the drums as they are more than up to the job and won't try and kill you

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Thanks for the link!

So basically i would need the bracket making for them to fit!

But even he says it might be too much and cause the fiesta to nose dive on heavy braking!

I will try and price up a bracket!

Thanks for the help! :D

That's my site, I was the person that came up with the conversion!

That article was years ago, tried and tested now and perfectly OK providing you have uprated the fronts to match :)

Oh rite! Nice one! :D

So do you know where i could get the bracket made?

Yes ive uprated my breaks to an rs2000 set up at the front!

I basically had an rs2000 with a few good parts that I ended up breaking. The Rs2000 front discs and calipers fit straight on to the fiesta hub and fit behind a 15" alloy! They are so much better than the standard fiesta brakes

Yeah there's a guide for that too on my site ;)

Any engineers will make you the spacer plate.
