Hi,
I know this has come up before but i cant seem to find it.

I would like to know what work is involved in fitting an rs2k engine into my mk3.5 rs1800.
I know its ment to be alot but i am looking for something to fill time.

Honestly mate don't bother. The I4 is a superb engine but a weighty so and so. This is why people fit the 2.0 Zetec as although it's 20bhp down the better weight gives superior results, the Zetec is also quite tweekable wheras the I4 needs very carefull work to hike the power

ok, cheers for the quick reply. I already have a 2.0 with piper cams etc but fancied looking into the rs2k just for a bit more poke but i think i will have to leave it.
Now i just gota find a way to get mine fueling right.

Bung it on a new management setup and maybe lob some bike carbs in. Chances are you'll already be getting better performance than with the I4 in place.

There's loads you can do with your 2.0 mate :wink:
