Rs500 wheels hitting on shocks

Problem or technical question?

Rs500 wheels hitting on shocks

Postby Ford-stu on Tue Apr 02, 2013 9:32 pm

Just been trying to fit my rs500 alloys on to my frst and they wouldn't sit on the front hubs due to them catching on the shocks.

I know these alloys will go on a fez but I'm just wondering if anyone who has fitted them could tell me what tyre size they use and also what suspension they are using.

My front shocks are gmax I think but not 100% on that.

Thanks for any help

What size wheels, width and offset? Don't think it's your suspension, your offset I expect or width

They are 15's mate not sure of the offset but I know these wheels do fit a fiesta as a lot of people have done it over the years. They are from the 3door sierra cosworth

I tried that mate as I had a couple of 5mm crappy halfords ones but once I put them on I couldn't get the wheel to sit on the hub at all.

They will still bolt in if you have the correct alloy bolts

I do have the correct alloy nuts but i didn't think you could fit a wheel with it not sitting on the hub at all.

Pm my mate Chrisxr2it3 on here. He used to run them on his RS turbo. I think he used 195/50 tyres with a 5mm spacer. But he will confirm this.
