Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST, some track pics on page 3
thanks dude
had some issues this weekend but think it was just a vacum leak, it boosted up to somewhere over 20psi, should be 18 and lost all its power but after some investigation and fidling around with vacum hoses and putting in another full tank of £optimax£ it was fine
odd

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST, Fast Ford Feature
small up-date after some messing around last weekend
got around to fitting a swirl pot i've had sat about
Escort RST top hose to chop up
not alot of room under the top boost pipe
seems to work quite well
also got a little closer to fitting my Prodrive comedy air filter
just need another bit of silicone hose now
also fitted my Stack temp gauge sender in the old Fan switch sender hole as mine is now controled by the Omex system it was just unplugged
looks much tidyer than just sticking out of a tapped hole in the old thermostat housing
also caught this butterfly on the way back from Ford Fair

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST,Small up-date 16/8/09
still isn't on yet, going up to TOTD this Friday (28th)
don't seem to get much chatter now its got the T3, still using the same filter & twin piston Baily Dump valve that i was on the T2 hybrid and that used to chatter its nutz off when you didn't make propper boost (just a few psi on the boost gauge) but that seems to have gone, much more wwwttccsshhhhhhh threw the valve now though. may have to stick in the dumpvalve bung i've got knocking about
RIP mushroom

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST,Small up-date 16/8/09
some track pics from the weekend
and a quick vid, blanked of the dumpvalve so got some chatter now
also got my missfire sorted at last, back on the Tourque of the Devils rollers. found that when the boost came whooshing on it suddenly went ever so LEAN
turned out that it was the widget (tecnical term, its even on the invoice ) just above the fuel pump, i think its called a fuel pump resinator had lost its seals. so instead of sending fuel up the fuel lines out of the tank it was passing by the seals and going back in the tank. only happened when it was being pushed so off boost it drove fine.all sorted now, took of the widget, through in the bin, replaced with a piece of bradied fuel line, back to its former glory and out terrorising people again
apparently its quite common, i had never heard about it befor and it would of taken me ages to find it, big thanks to Chris and the guys at TOTD, much love
bring on the paddle clutch!
