corrupt_panda - thanks dude will do
Xr_Dub - handles quite well on trac, not as under steery as would be expected with 221hp but i think the Quaife ATB helps that, awesome mod for FWD the more you put you accelerate the more it turn's in. should be better after the winter going to get soem area6 lower arm's on it and i could do with some new front amd rear tyres, so should be able to find some more grip.
up-date coming soon, just got the gearbox out for the paddle clutch and few more lil jobs

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST,Small up-date 9/9/09 lil video
bit of an up-date, as the weathers taken a turn for the worse its up on axle stands for a bit
and in bits
dropped the gear box out to do the paddel clutch and a few other lil jobs
the slipping clutch
mmmmm technie clutch
fly wheel in need off a skim
box cleaned and ready for paint
and after the 1st coat
clutch arm and support bar thingy getting some 'ammerrite
got some area6 lower arms coming in the post (if the postman ever comes off strike ) so removed the hubs and drive shafts
took off the roll bar links to freshen them up on is knackered and the other didn't wanna come off with out a fight, both need replacing now. also removed the roll bar bush's to replace them with polybushs and gave the roll bar a clean up
also recived my flo-flex front strut top mounts to day
flo-flex on the right
old - they pretty much fell out
new - lots of fun to try and squeeze in, even made me sweat!!
sooo tomorrow when i finish work got to clean-up the Spax, spray the roll bar clamps and then some more cleaning
then got to go collect the AP paddle clutch and pollyflex bushs from TOTD on wednesday

top work as always.
when u put the top mounts in did u cut them on one side. would've been easier that way.

Nice work fella
you will be pleased with the 4 paddle ap clutch but be warned it does make a wine in 1st gear and reverse
put a new clutch cable on while its all out. Makes the pedal nice and soft. My old cable was so stiff in comparison ...
is that a plastic hose joiner dude ?
if it is i advise you swap it for a alloy one or some copper pipe.
I had a plastic hose joiner going to my turbo coolant pipe and it split on me as it gets hot and cold over and over again and ends up becoming brittle and eventually cracking.

minstral - nope didn't cut them, didnt think of that just swore lots and struggled instead. Got abit of a technique after the 1st side though
carbonboy67 - yeah its crossed my mind ecspecialy when you see some of the projects on here, like yours and Dave G fsi's lots of insperation
Dave G fsi - thanks dude, its not hammerite its some stuff i found in my local motor factors made by CarPlan, just called alloy silver paint i think i'll check tomorrow though
Knuckles - i was thinking about doing that while its out and theres abit more space, i take it you used a genuine Ford part? any idea how much one would set me back? well spotted with the plastic joiner too dude, its been one of those temporary things thats kind of got forgoten about i've got to get it sorted befor it goes back on the road now
thanks again people

spoke to TOTD today and they said AP Racing have just released a Hi-Tourque version so no need for a Paddle so i'm going to try it out and see what happens, it can deal with 285 ftlbs of torque so my current 222 should be no problem
some pics will follow when i have it

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST,Small up-date 9/9/09 lil video
collected the new clutch from TOTD on wednesday morning
not sure how well this will show up but it even says AP on the rivits
also picked up the pollybush front roll bar bushs too and found the ACT gauage i've been meaning to fit for ages
got they fly wheel at the same time and finished painting the roll bar clamps too
and these turned up in the post, thanks scott
did a bit more yesterday afternoon and got the fly wheel on with new bolts
in the process of tourquing up the bolts i fort i snapped one off in the crank but turns out it was a cheap tool shuold of just put the 1/2 inch 17mm straight on but couldn't see it at the time
after finishing work today went and collected the new ball joints for the lower arms and then fitted the clutch, i'll get some more pics up soon

got the gear box back in when i finished worked on Sunday afternoon with help from RS1800dom, cheeRS dude, got it bolted back in then called it a day so we could watch the Grand Prix (Button Champ09 )

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST,Small up-date 20/10/09
been playing down the garage again this weekend
bought one of these a while ago
TiAL MVS external wastegate 38mm, very nice bit of kit
so bought another escort manifold off ebay and got TOTD to modifie it for me, Allen did a wicked job
and some other bits and pieces
had a quick test fit this afternoon
with the screamer pipe/dump tube heading for the drivers side of the front bumper the turbo cooler will need fitting somewhere else so i was thinking
one of the mounts needed grinding down to make it fit but my fun was rained off b4 i could get it finished but will carry on tomorrow, so will hopefully have some more pics up then

i got my brass hose joiner from work - it was a air line joiner
but ive noticed yours is a 3 way joiner. so maybe look around a hard ware store or even plumbing supplies may have something simerlar to suit your needs.
What does that swirl pot do anyway ? excuse my silly question ... its been bugging me for a while what that extra bit is for lol
TOTD are awesome arent they !
im hoping to go down there this week and get mine set up - May wack the beiges in with the 195 chip before i go

Knuckles: good idea mate, i've seen 3way joiners on ebay, fuel pipe joiners . swirl pots are used to get any bubbles/air out of the cooling system, they should have 3 conections, an inlet near the top, a vent at the top and exit at the bottom normaly at diffrent angle to inlet. as the coolant comes in the inlet it swirls around to the outlet and any bubbles/air should vent out at the top back to my header tank. they are also used in fuel tanks too to stop fuel surge or any bubbles going up your lines
TOTD are fantastic, i've been using them since they opened and won't take my RST, MK5 Zetec-S or Civic VTI any where else. gr8 blokes heard mixed views about beiges and 195 but i'm sure TOTD will help you out dude
