Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST update: areo's in
thanks for the positive comments guy's, was thinking of looking for a carbon oval to keep the red/black going but may be leaning towards a pair of early flat light blues, one for the bonnet and one for the boot, have to have a look about and see what takes my fancy
as it's new page, i recon i should put up a current pic
need to have a photo session with Dom's RS1800/Maz's VXRacing VXR Astra/the old man's Mk1 XR2's and my RST when the weather clear's up
so small continuation from yesterday, had a delivery from Turbo Dynamics of some new bits for the TiAL external wastegate
some new springs, maroon/copper
theres an outer and inner spring, together they will be 17.4 psi or 1.3 bar so i shouldn't need to use a bleed valve now
and there is also a new v-band flange so i can make another screamer pipe for track day noise regs going to try a few things, 1st i'm going to just aim it at the road as the current one throw's noise out the side towards the microphones, if it's still to much i may try and pipe it back into exhaust system or attach a small silencer
but i will definately keep the current side exit screamer for non track ASBO fun may try some more tail pipe options for it in the summer
so next up would be a trip back to torque of the devil when the new wastegate springs are in for a check up on the rollers, but not sure whats going on there yet, i've still got to fit the new thermostat housing, get some paint over the new seam welding/turrets, fit the AVO's and then get down to X-Sport in Basingstoke for some corner weighting
plenty of jobs to keep my busy, hope the weather pics up so i don't get too wet

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST update: areo's in
whoa 1st update since Febuary I do still have it
been a quite year for my Fiesta RS Turbo, did manage to get a track day in @ abingdon airfield back in April with Dom (some pics will follow when I find them) after having a proper harness bar/strut brace welded in at X-sport Racing. The festa took alot of abuse until the shorter screamer pipe broke. had some issues with the wastegate pipe too which ment it was off the road for a short period to fix and strenghthen it.
the AVO coilovers where then fitted and i spent a while getting the hight back to where i wanted it. cracking suspension, very pleased and i can't wait to try them out properly around a track and then get some corner waiting sorted
then things went abit quite for the car didn't do many miles this year,
but back to the present and i've got some up-dates
been playing with the top hose again trying to get the turbo's water feed sorted, installed a hose joiner which has a place for a temp sendor but i'm going to use it for the water feed
also got a new induction hose
Old hose and filter (random 106 part )
new hose
a new filter will follow soon
also deiced on a new screamer pipe tip, 2" outwardly rolled tip
still needs some adjustment to make it fit nicley and the bumper may need adjusting again
some new wheels have also turned up, always wanted a set of these OZ's
going to give them a quick clean and polish, then get some new stickers n center caps for them and see if they will fit with the 195/50's on, may do as i've got coilovers to play with now.
can't wait to see what it looks like sporting the new rims, i'll get some more recent pics of it up when i get it out of the garage again.

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST, I do still have it.
Thanks for the coments guys
RSGeorge: yes mate it was me, i went and got them of robp-tt (top bloke) last weekend.
had a day off today so plumbed back up the hose's, fired it up, rolled it out the garage, let it warm up and had a play with the new wheels
quick pic the new strut brace/harness bar
still needs painting
the OZ's do feel lighter than the Team Dynamics but not had them on any scales yet
on the front the tyres touched the coilovers so won't be using the 195/50 contis
on the back it looks like it will be close on the arch's but at least they rotate
so if i get a chance this week i'm going to put my 195/45 toyos on 2 of the OZ's and have aother play, i recon they will look much better and even go around on the front
excuse the puddle under front, loose jubliee clip. or it may have got too excited about the new wheels
still need to get some centers and stickers, then may invest in a new boost gauge from Stack and if i can get the funds toghether maybe a new Stack ST200 rev counter. oh yeah and repaint the rear cabin.

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST, Test fit of new OZ's.
looking soooo sexy on those new rims
have you decided on the colour choice for the OZ's?
on a seperate note, ordered my tyers for the st, when they come am getting my standard rims referbed in gloss black, will pop round when they back on the car.
might even go up my workshop and have a fettle with my rs after catching up on your progress, but no promises, lol

Looks gorgeous!
Needs a late spec smaller blue oval front and rear and orange side repeaters to match the indicators I reckon.

Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST, new pics.
love this car!!!
i have 8 x16" mags on my fiesta and it looks crap without the stickers (got them powdercoated and never laquered them - power washer blasted the stickers off)
But tbh if i had mine dark (which i m planning), i wouldnt have stickers on them (which im planning also not to do)
But again, love the car...external wastegate looks class
