The size stated sounds about right to me.Why not swap the carriers for the ones from the white rs

i hope so or i might have the wrong car

theres only a twisting force acting on the arb, nothin much can rip the bolts out

russ if u can find some bolts wot fit the holes mate and your happy boltin em up there probably be ok
just my personall opinion bumpy roads/corners etc etc, as the m8x 1.25's aint massive by no means but thats wot was on mine so..
dont be so literall jon thats why theres a laughing face after the comment....bolts was made a size for a reason.....

Re: Russ' mint green FRST :D NEED HELP!!!!!
i agree just try random bolts in the hols and find which one fits, if one is slightly too big/small try the next size, its a jigsaw piece fit

u need a bigger box of old bits n bolts
av a look see if u can get a tap in there without dropping it all down it'll be tight but maybe do-able

Re: Russ' mint green FRST :D NEED HELP!!!!!
well not much progress here to report to be honest but i thought i'd share with you where i am up to so far and what's stopping me etc.
well basically i had a really bad xmas consisting of splittin with my missus on xmas eve the battery turning out to be cream crackered and then when i went to do the gasket on my oil return from the turbo i snapped a bolt so i havent touched the car since but i have a collection of parts and some motivation now and the fact i need my car before the 18th as iv got bloody jury service just my luck aye!
well i have a full set of gaz coilovers coming this week should be here before the weekend so this is the main update i have for the car so i can finally be sitting flat and some lovely lowness to go with
i will get off my behind at some point this week then and:
change the fuel pump as its still got the 1.3 pump in
fit gaz coilovers
take off turbo.. send to engine centre to have bolt drilled out and then refit turbo with new gasket but this time without snapping a bolt
once i have the car running again i will be taking it to my freinds to have the brakes fitted as i dont trust myself to bleed them and the 1.3 brakes aren't really up to the job
then once these jobs have been completed (yes i will keep you updated) i have a few bits an bobs i bought for the car some time ago but thought i'd share them with you

if its the small platic drive pin from the speed sensor, then a pin may get it out if you stab it in and pull it out, depends how jammed in it is.
as for fan, what fan? rad fan or heater blower fan?

Re: Russ' mint green FRST
coulkd be the thermo switrch in the stat housing, then again it could be the plug that plugs on it, they tend to get pulled off by the wires and the wires break internally.
chech to see if the fan does work, it could be as simple as the fan motor has just burnt out.
im guessing you have checked the green relay already and cleaned the pins? if not, do that too
