Re: Russ' mint green FRST
no the problem you've seemingly hit, is you've changed a reletively reliable car into a unrelaible one by fitting a cvh turbo, which unluckily has run into a few problems such as snapped nuts and bolts or gasket failures and the like
thats why its good to have acess to another car while taking on a project such as that, with me i can get a lift to work in such a case, well for a certain amount of time, then id be like you in a bit of a s**t streak
can you not get a run around on short notice? make it too your next pay where you can pay to sort it?

for f**k sake johny you fudgekin dumb ass when i say i cant afford to pay my insurance and pay for the petrol to get there where on earth in that does the condition of my car come into it????
as toady has said my car is fine and nothing wrong with it its the initial money to get there thats the problem, and like f*ck would i get a "reliable runaround" why????? it would cost me silly money to insure it for no reason as i would drive this instead.. and theres nuffin wrong with w cvh turbo engine otherwise people wouldnt be using them would they?
everyone i know that has put a engine that wasnt the engine already fitted to the car has run into small problems like this in the 1st few months its expected its not unreliable its just where you forget to do things upon fitting it or say il do that once the engine is in

you aint stopped moaning theres something wrong with it...
exhaust blowing, cant fit a bolt, cant get the turbo to stop leaking oil
but if its simply petrol and a renewal stopping you from using it, its very tough luck, why dont you try a crisis loan at the job centre?
or a payday loan?

Well i dont want to come across as a dick, but if you cant afford to run a car, dont run one!
I'm also with jony, a more economic car would benefit if fuel costs to get to work are a big problem.

Re: Russ' mint green FRST
from what ive read he hasnt lost his job., and i will assume if he had the money to buy, insure, and run a run around, im sure he would have some money to sort this one out if not a run around would be got???
jony, i as i said, unless its changed, i read he hasnt lost his job, job centre/crisis loan wont apply to him, and even if it did, the chance of getting such for his car would be slim, even less than fudgekin slim tbh, job centre has no funding for f**k all anymore, im a little surprised they still dish out bus passes, but not as willy nilly as it was...
anyway, enough fo that, lets get this topic back on topic yeah, and stop talking about if someone can afford something or not, we all hit hard times for what ever reasons, so lets move on now yeah chaps

Re: Russ' mint green FRST
theres nuffin wrong with the car when i got this job i knew it was too far for me to travel and i got thee job through my best mate at the time and he said i can get a lift in with him all the time so it was no worries, and now me and him have had a big falling out because he has moved on to doing his own thing without tellin me and just left me with no way to get to work, all this came directly after jury service so i have had no hours this month or last month so my next 2 months pay would be nothing,
i dont think a loan is an option johny lol
and please stop telling me to get another car or dont run mine considering none of this has been my fault and if my mate hadnt been a mug and left going to work to become a drug dealer i would still be driving my car.... and the exhaust blow snapped bolt and oil leak were fixed ages ago.....

Re: Russ' mint green FRST
lol johnny that nothing i dream of the day i only spend £30 a week on petrol
well on a deppressing note the car goes away tomorow to be stored on my nan and grandads drive which is quite a distance away from me so i doubt any work will be done
the idea was to thoroughly clean the car inside and out and then take it somewhere and grab some photos before it goes away but the weather is s**t so i geuss im gunna have to do that tomorow i am also planning on puttin my spare bumpers on the car so that i can spray the black rs ones when i get money through whilst the car is off the road, im basically just going to collect up as many bits as i can with the spare cash i get here and there untill i get a job then get insurance sit it outside my house and do everything to it as i have 3 sides of a4 paper just of jobs that need doing
also have a problem with my recaro seats will post up some pics soon

Re: Russ' mint green FRST
lol well ya could say that toady lol
the bottom part of my seat dropped one night the bit that you actually sat on and i ended up sitting pretty much on the floor wasnt very comfortable nor very practical when your doing some spirited driving and all of a sudden drop 2-3 inches lol
iv since found out that there is a net sort of thing under the seat which hooks on either side and supports the person sitting on it and they normally look like this one ( my passenger side seat)
which is all very well and you can see the rubber parts stretching a little when weight is supplied on top ...
i then took a look at my drivers seat ...........
as you can see in the next two pics the rubber itself has somehow torn completely down the middle therefore splittin the net and it not creating any support
not impressed so its going to cost me £40 for the part to fix it i wouldnt mind if i was a big fat guy id expect it but im not i weight just under 12st which is not alot lol
bloody car
