S1's RS500
Re: Empty garage space...
Carbonboy67 :Looking good mate, Only reason I bought my car is because it was fitted with these
Mine have white lettering though, o/s is different to standard, they fill the arches better.
Offset is way different, I was running a full H&R spacer kit with the original, these sit perfect without them.

Especially after seeing the price on the Mountune site!
Are they the same size or 19's? Lighter?

When I was at Mountune Dave Moore Recognised my name on the jobsheet and came out to say hello. I mentioned I was waiting on a black inlet to complete the MR375 package. Mountune are due another batch of inlets soon but they are already accounted for through group buys on FRSOC etc. Dave said he'd try to get one set aside for me. So with any luck I'll be MR375 in a week or two!
Also got a set of Michelins Pilot Sports on order. My mate's doing them for 204 fitted & balanced each.

Great price on the tyres !, I'll be going Pilot Sports when mine need replacing.
I ordered my inlet over 4 weeks ago through Pumabuild via FocusRSOC and no sign of it yet

I'm worried now that he meant +Vat, will have to double check
I ordered my Elevate torque mount 14th March and not had anything yet. I'm going to speak to Dave Moore on Tuesday regarding the Mountune trackday so will push him about the inlet, I would have thought they have a right to divert stock from a group buy if it meant they could fulfill an order for an MR375

If I was on a group buy and had paid up etc I'd be pretty angry
What size are they tyres? You checked camskill.co.uk?

I can't see them dicking around with a group buy, leaves them open for masses of negative publicity if it got out that stock had been diverted from an earlier order.

Re: Empty garage space...
Should I assume you've tried Camskill for tyre prices? They have absolutely blown everyone else out of the water, both times I have bought from them. That was for R888s for the ZT (HALF the price of the nearest competitor), and for the Proxes T1-Rs I run on the Audi (something like £200 cheaper than the nearest rival, for the set of four). Their prices are phenomenal!

T1-R's have always been cheap from them, but they are NLA so if you want anymore buy now!

Re: Empty garage space...
Good call on camskill, I will need tyres for both cars shortly and they have some nice prices (have killed a set of avons in 8k miles, oops) Probably get rainsports though, I'm not a fan of modern asymmetric tyres - LSD seems to get very upset with them.

Re: Empty garage space...
Tyres were a no-go in the end, his supplier could only get one at that price. I prefer Blackcircles to camskill as BC are fully fitted and not much different in price to Camskill. Looks like i'm gonna have to pay about 220-230 a corner
I've confirmed with Mountune I'll be attending their trackday in May, it's actually the week before FITP.
I've also got a date for the MR375 conversion, it will be fitted on Tuesday 1st May
Edit to add - Elevate Torque mount is now in stock so should be with me any day now!

My old man does, but you'd have to wait to loj to get the rubber and even then it wouldn't be fitted. Or you can pop up, I'll get you a couple at trade and fit them for you at my mates place. Long trek for tyres, but there will be wine and cheesecake too.
EDIT : I'll ring for a price in morning, just out of interest. 235/35-19 W/V yeah ?

I'm going for the Michelin Super Sports, a bloke on FRSOC local to me got them for 220 each fitted, also includes free puncture repairs plus some Michelin safety kit thingy. They seem to be a popular tyre, the Monaro & VXR8 lads are starting to use them to tame their rwd craziness.
Another mod came through today, this one will be a bit hit & miss with some of you I fear

Think thats going to upset a lot of people, I wouldn't have it but then I have 3 kids to fit in my cars and rollcages don't help much with that.
That said I think its going to suit it and sit well in your unmodified RS500

Wouldnt certainly be a quieter drive that way!
I spent ages trying to work out what a Roofrack was, read it as Roo Frack
