my older brother made me chuckle with a story about saddam hussein when he was in the rm commandos. during his first tour in iraq they came across one of the many palaces he owns and were ordered not to take anything. Needless to say he mentioned that one of the sargeants tried pinching one of the gold plated doors and his mate pinched the gold taps from the bathroom!!!!!

the door didnt get very far for obvious reasons but the gold taps are now sitting proud on someones bog standard bathtub here in the uk
