Santa Pod - Club Camping

Postby SammyBoy_01 on Wed Jul 21, 2010 4:06 pm

Ok, Has anyone ever been to an event at santa pod and camped in the "club camping" area??

Basicly I'm going to USC with about 20 mates and so we are applying for a club stand, however I'm not quite sure about the club camping part. If club camping is where i think it is (the long thin strip of grass near the concrete used for showing and the field at the end of the strip show paddock side) then this seems like it might be either quite a walk to all the entertainment in the evenings, or be of limited grass space for our big group?

Ok....heres the map

Image

In red i have marked the area i think is club camping

In green the areas we are likely to spend most time

and in white the public camping

If this is incorrect please let me know

i really dont wish to attempt to crawl back the long distance to the club camping when the public area is much closer to where we wish to be...

Has anyone camped in both areas that could tell me what one will be better. There may be hidden advantages to the club camping which i do not know about as of yet and just would like help making up my mind where to pitch up tents

many thanks

Oddly enough yes. We were there last weekend for Retro Show.

Camping is where that white circle is, plus the next two fields, there's quite a bit of space, most of it's not shown in that picture.

I think the red circle is the "family" camping.

Obviously the main benefit of being round there is that there are showers nearby, but no bar, depends which is more important, lol.
