Save It From Being Broken For Parts

Postby Shannon on Fri Aug 02, 2013 12:59 pm

Its time I parted with my fiesta (so the misses says) Ive done my best to hang on to it for so long but it really does have to go

Here's a link to the for sale thread I did when the car was complete and on the road xr2i-turbo-t3-cosworth-alloys-more-vt191001/

Shortly after deciding to keep it I noticed it had started to blow out white smoke on over run which turned out to be a crack in the block leading to a water way. As it is the car needs a bottom end and I dont have the time nor the money to put it back on the road and fully enjoy it again like it should be, plus with a house purchase looming and limited driveway space I really cant take it with me even if I wanted to (which I do!!)

I'm going to leave the car up for a month here and various other places and if it doesnt sell it'll go on ebay for a week and then onto be broken if it still hasnt gone.. I'd really like to see the car go to an enthusiast, especially someone who will document its future. The car has been with me for around 8 years no and I really dont want to break it but I will if I have to, the money is more important than the memories right now!

It doesnt have tax or test although i cant see it needing much if anything to go through one, it passed 2 years ago and has done around 20 miles since, if that!

Going off current prices I worked out the car is worth around 3k in parts, my asking price as the car stands now is £2250ono.

With it being stood for so long it does need a good valeting but once a deposit is taken I'll have it done

Really sorry to see this, dude. I feel your pain! I had also had mine for 8 years when I finally tore it apart. 50,000 miles of awesome memories :) You will no doubt have had some damn good times in yours too, and it always stood out on here to me as a looker :aviator: Good luck with the sale and the house...sometimes we just have to be grown up and make the sensible sacrifices. You can do it all again in the future :D
