I have a wooden floor, underneath the floor i have some insulation to stop, the floor vibrating too much.

On top of the floor is my boot carpet, i have screwed the sub box from the inside to the wood flooring, so it is secured in.

If that helps you at all :D

Exactly the same but wooden blocks raise the floor up and my amps under the wood floor. Tidies it up loads and still have a little safe boot space...

Velcro - hooks stuck to the raised sections of the boot floor and the furry stuff stuck to the bottom of the amps, holds very well.

Fair enough, sounds a good idea. :)

May have to find away of doing that with my amps because there are wires everywhere.

Heres a pic:

Doesn't really show how bad it is really is but theres a lot of wires.

ive got a false floor with my amp in it and an aux fusebox with distribution block for all my extra bits :)
2 layers of mdf with 5 or 6 strips of timber to seperate them enough so the top of the amp is showing, cut out where the amp goes on the top layer so it doesnt overheat and all the wires go nicely inbetween :)
i'll get a pic in the morning/afternoon as im working nightshift till 7am!

Whereabouts are you mate, when I've recovered from my op I can show you my setup if you want? Ignore the coats :D I'll get some better pics later today or tomorrow... But if you notice where the 60/40 split is on the seat I can still access the boot fine from inside the car.

Looks good mate, you could have raised the floor and hidden the amp underneath, moving the sub to the left hand side still allowing you space in the right hand side of the boot plus be able to access a bit of boot through the split folding rear seats...

But whatever you like mate, I'm not forcing ya :D

the floor is raised the amp is level with the floor, not covered up so it doesnt get too hot, and i can still access the boot from the other side :)

i positioned the box where i wanted it...

took the sub out...

then drilled through the sub box and floor.. obvioulsy making sure 1st i was clear of every thing underneath the car ie fuel tank, fuel lines

then bolted it down and screwed the sub back in,, its another good security device aswell.. as we no how the thieves love 2 just lift bassboxes out and run in the middle of the night (the thieving swines)

So you guys have drilled 4 holes in the boot floor? What happens when you want to sell the car without ICE? You'd have to weld the holes?

nothing of the sort lol...most people wont even realise or mind as the holes will only be small...i think there are more things for potential fiesta owners to worry about than an extra hole drilled in the boot LOL...as long as its done properly, painted over etc then there wont be a problem, and if the holes want to be covered, a blanking gromit will do the trick nicely

Well maybe not welded but covered and rust protected. If you are driving on a wet road where does the spray go? Underside of the car, and if its covered in holes you won't have a very nice boot haha. Its hard enough to get it out when its screwed into the MDF boot floor. Bassboy, good point :)

I'm sure if you have holes through the boot floor to bold the sub down, you would underseal the bottom of the boot floor and that would stop anything from making it rust ;)

Until they take an MOT and have to have them welded up. Thats one of the things I don't like about buying second hand cars - people not telling you things you should know.

Fair an MOT for having a few holes drilled into the boot floor? doubt that.

People pass MOT's with them sh*te rear strut braces drilled into them, and thats a more serious part of the car

the holes would not structurally affect the vehicle like rust therefore it shouldn't fail. cars have lots of holes in the bottom as standard that are just bunged up!
