Fine fine fine I don't need 5 people telling me  I only assumed it would fail as with holes on the floorpan of the car - but as one guy said earlier "most people wont notice". That I don't like, finding a car you think is perfect to find it has 4 holes in the boot floor letting in spray and noise. Its the same fcukers who sell cars with rusty undercarriages - "oh they'll find out eventually when I've got the money and scarpered".

Please dont take this wrong as im not being a dick about it, but why do you see couple of tiny holes in the boot floor a big problem? Especially if they been painted/sealed. Even if they havent been filled i cant see much water finding its way up past the spare and getting blown up a hole that is probably no bigger that 3mm :-?

Personally I don't make it a big problem, but people who want an unmolested car will start to wonder why there are holes in the floor, thats all.

ever removed a towbar?? that leaves holes bigger than an experienced she-giant's love chasm! screw holes are nothing in comparison! but its not really the sort of thing you point out when selling a car because its no big deal, and its up to the buyer to check a vehicle thoroughly too when inspecting it.

Nope, so that makes the rest of the post invalid really.

its not the of thing you point out when selling a car because its no big deal, and its up to the buyer to check a vehicle thoroughly too when inspecting it.

Oh yes I know. Why can't people see that I understand now?? I don't need telling that its not a big problem, as I've said here:

lol! I know. I just don't know why people can't read back over the thread instead of 4 people telling me the same thing haha.

When drilling holes though make sure they are painted to avoid rust.

................and always remember that when you drill holes in the boot, to avoid rust, make sure you paint it afterwards

No carpet in mine at all. I've got one of those super-grip rubber matts. Found the last one in Lidl for £2.99. Fitted perfectly into the boot. Has enough grip to stay in place, i just taped it down around the edges to make it look neet. Really grippy, so there's no need to bolt down or screw down a sub.
