Security?? Insurance on alloys>??
Right guys i want to upgrade the security on the fessi with alarms etc but what is the best kit to use to do this and why??
Also what is the extra cost of insurance if you claim alloys??

My insurance dont care about my alloys.
Go Toad for the alarm.
You'll find they will only replace with standard equipment though not your nice posh rims. The excess will also (usually) be hiked to put you off claiming anyway. Only reason my rims are coverd properly now is because of the classic policy and the fact I'm an old git these days

my insurance have given me a value of £300 for my alloys and will give me £300 if they get stolen or similar etc. My excess remained the same.. £135.

If its just a plain alarm your after, cobra are brilliant, realiabilty is second to none!
but if you watch the extra's go for clifford, some of the old clifford stuff could be dodgey but new stuff is good, ive got a 650 with intellistart, never a problem.

£300 would barely cover the cost of tyres never mind the rims themselves. Even my cheap n cheerful TSW's on the S2 would set me back £800 to replace with new tyres.
