Serious Misfire

Could somebody help, engine was running intermittently, changed the plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm and leads, now it starts every time, its running rich and is suffering from a misfire, when i bought the car the actuator was wound all the way up running some serious boost, i have turned it down but still a misfire. Any ideas would be helpful.

mate my car is doin exactly the same at the mo, put ur foot to the floor and just doesnt move. ill try and let u know, the garage is lookin at mine 2day, may not b the same problem but may help u

yeah its an escort series 2. ive got a fezza but i wanted somat with a turbo and an escort came up 4 a grand and all it needed was a gearbox. it was runnin perfect b4 he stored it but now its missin. i had it idlin 2day without a misfire but as soon as i touch the throttle the misfire comes back.
