the zvh is used with a turbo'd cvh head [ERRR] the zetec bottom end is stronger than the standord 1 letting u run more power with a bigger capasatie (spelling)
i may be wrong but u wouldn't need to have a stronger bottom end if u are running a non turbo as u are only lickly to be pushing 145bhp out of a cvh engine

You can run carbs on a ZVH, ZVH is just a CVH head and Zetec bottom end. If you don't want it turbo'd you just keep the std compression Zetec pistons.
You can junk the EFi and fit carbs but it's a bit of a backward step.
Carbs sound nice but they are expensive and drink fuel. They also idle and run roughly in winter and need setting up perfectly.
Carbs are great for old skool motors but in such a modern car an RST lump will be cheaper, easier to tune, faster and more fun!

Just something to think about..
Remember driving to Doncaster.. Remember me pulling next to you at 70mph and dropping the gear as you did at same time.. remember where i went..
Enough remembering.. DO IT!
