yeah you can, i did! woz less than a grand and woz sound condition underneath and the body, no rust, engine woz high miler and i didnt service it properly and thrashed the tities off it and it died after 7000 miles if i had looked after it it would hav neen ok. so i got a new engine for it with a few mods to it and now im quicker than 130-140 bhp rs turbos, i even beat a golf vr6! get one mate there good cars

what insurance group are they...are they higher or lower than the pug 205 gti 1.6?

dunna bout pug but xr2i is group14 and i hav also beat a 1.9gti 205 so dont even bother with a 1.6 205 gti.. stay with the blue oval

1.6 pug is grp 12

1.9 is grp 15 I think

i just got a quote...for a pug 205 gti 1.6 it is £478
and for the fiesta xr2i i got quoted £500

i bought my black 2i (see my profile) for £875 (with wheels, springs, turbo interior & exterior) and sold it for £1250.

Look in ur local free ads paper, loads of 2is get sold for under £500 (whether there ate fuked or not is another thing lol)

£1000 will get u my Escort RS TURBO s2 red on a e plate, if u want it, but it needs some sorting as follows:

Bottom end is knocking, just get a turbo lump and chuck it in so to speak and your off, and the rest of the specs there.
the bonnet also has a dent in it aswell, where somwone reversed into it and cracked the drivers side headlight and damaged the corner of the bonnet.

but the spec is good spax full suspension kit lowered 35mm, magnex stainless steel system, brand new borg and beck uprated clutch, piper cam kit fitted 5000 miles ago, clifford alarm, 15inch oz mito wheels, cl, ew, em, hfs, brand new ford steering rack fitted aswell at same time as cam kit, alloy bleed valve, drilled discs, new belts just been done recent reconditioned lsd s2 gearbox fitted aswell.
