Its entirly possible to turbocharge your 1.6 and it has been done.
but, its pretty meaningless as far as your powerscope, your best to turbocharge the 1.8 or 2.0 as it will cost just as much, and exactly the same work would be involved.. if your not going for anything serious it may even be cheaper on the 1.8 as you can have them pistons skimmed.. 2.0 or 1.6 you cant, and then the 1.8 pistons are only for gentle boost pressures anything serious would mash them.
if your going to turbo it, your induction kit should be part of the package, and before thinking about chips, think about managing to run this turbo on the zetec first, you wont be needing a chip.. youll be needing to either use fiesta turbo management with a remap???? or go for aftermarket.
you wont do all this on your standard si ecu.
the cost.. depends on how cost effective you are.. and how ebayish you are.
i think personaly i could do it for round about £1200.. but im just going for 2.0.. might think about blowing it later on maybe.
