Help. I've fitted a pair of Fiesta Si (rounded) door mirrors to my MK3 FRST with no real problems. Sanded out the grain and had them colour coded. However, I am missing the rubber gromets which go on the plastic stalks inside the car which adjust the mirrors. My Main Ford dealer cannot find the part on his computer to order them, I have even shown him the part on one of their Fiestas but to no avail. I have been driving around without them for over a year and it makes the finish look untidy. It's really doing my head in.

Can anyone help / know the part number ?

Cheers Andrew

What rubber gromets? Got the same mirrors on my car and there are no gromets on them.

I've got a feeling I know what your on about.
Is the adjuster metal? If so, then you've got the wrong mirrors as I had the same problem and had to take them back.

icecool,

The adjusters are plastic. The stalks / adjusters poke through a small circular hole in a black plastic surround on the inside of the car, enabling the mirror to be adjusted. The rubber bit I am after just pushes over the adjusters and lies a small way into the black plastic surround. Kind of like a cover/jacket, which finishes the job off neatly.

if ur dealer cannot find the part on the fiesta mk3/3.5 system get him to use the fiesta mk4 catalog as i am sure the mk4 had the same rubber grommits on the adjustors as the high spec mk3.5s

This is the part number you want:

P F7145591 11308 NUT - SPECIAL

By the way the MK4 ones are actually different slightly and will not fit the MK3.5 interior covers.

Did the part number help your local Ford dealer to get you the right ones?

I went into my local dealership and he couldn't find them.Anyone know if I could fit the interior cover from the Mk4 as well as the rubber boot thing,as the post above says the mk3.5 interior cover and mk4 boot thing won't fit together?
