Sierra Cosworth 2WD Intercooler and ZT ?!? Help needed.

Postby disc on Wed Jun 15, 2005 3:02 pm

Is Sierra Cosworth 2WD Intercooler good enough for my 1 800 cc ZT? I can't purchase custom IC here where I live, so OEM equipment must be used... :(

Engine will be fitted in Orion.

Thanks!
Sorry for my bad english...

Should be fine unless you are using really high levels of boost.

Thanks!
Sierra IC must be modifed to fit, but I have no choice at the moment.
The plan is just 7-8 psi boost and 150-170HP. That's my first turbo engine (build by my self!) and will be use Megasquirt... a lot of unanswered question ATM... so low boost is best option for beginer like me.

The Sierra intercooler will be fine for that :) Got any pics of what you've been up to?

it would be easier just to fit a Escort RST intercooler but if you want something a bit better use the 4x4 cossie cooler or make one fron 2 or 3 2wd cossie coolers or 2 or 3 4x4 ones?
Now driving a 1999 Audi S3 with 2.1 20v OD HTAGT3582r Turbo

Bring on the 650+Bhp 4x4 monster

Looks like an interesting website, shame it's all written by spiders with paint on their feet :p

Do you have some pictures of the engine in the car yet, or are you waiting to do that still? That Mercedes must be a lot better to drive now! :D

Sorry, we use cyrillic alphabet... try to change encoding in your browser "View - > Encoding -> Cyrillic (Windows)", then try to learn some Bulgarian and you'll find how hard is to read FT.com in english for me...

Engnine is still on stand in my garage... :( head need skiming, new piston rings ect... but I'm not in hurry... Megasquirt is on the way.. Just started project 2 mounths ago. Waiting injectors and manifold from UK is boring ... that takes 1 mounth... turbo from Germany -> 2 weeks... still need fuel pump...

Mercedes is really fun now! Can't be dyno'ed here, but power increase must be some sort ot 15-20 HP max.
