Don't ever take advice from girls for starters! In my experience if a girl likes you she'll drop the subtlest hints in the world, the kind that even another woman couldn't pick up on, whilst at the same time giving the impression she's not really interested. Then when you don't pick up on them or do anything because you think she doesn't like you, she'll get annoyed, decide you don't like her, are a selfish, self-obsessed moron and stop speaking to you.

Then of course there's the other kind who gives all the signs of being interested, the only thing less subtle would be a massive neon sign with "I WANT YOU" in 4 foot high pink letters. So you ask them out thinking it's a sure thing, and they say no.

Moral? NEVER try to understand women.
