I have just fitted a single wiper to my mk3 and I have had to modify the cover that goes over the heater fan to get it to bloody fit properley.
Has anyone else had the same problem or have I gone and done something wrong?

Yep. I had the same problem. The wiper linkage wacks ino the plastic cover, mine still worked, but scraped really badly so i modded the cover. Only needed moving about 5mm at the bottom.

I got it from a place called http://www.singlewiper.com.
It has got STORM written on it, so I gather it aint a cheap copy.

That's the same as mine.
No it ain't a cheap copy. I seem to recall it saying in the instructions something about moding the fan cover on some cars.

I've had mine on a year now, my kit said on it that it also fitted mk4 fez and puma :???:
Perhaps they should have made it fit the car they designed for though aye.
