slight jerkiness off boost and driving slowly

Postby gazaboi on Mon Oct 28, 2013 9:31 pm

right so got the rs back from boost junky in bicester, and its been suggested i have some advice from you guys, he specialises with focus rs and st's everything from rebuilds to general set ups and servicing to tuning, and doesnt have the software to read my eec 4 ecu, but gave me a set up (wasnt on a rolling road either), set my fueling and co spot on and set my boost and put in a 165 chip i brought, but ive still got a jerkiness off boost and driven slow what can this be, has anyone else got this problem or had it fixed, ive replaced with working my tps, fully cleaned my idle control valve, new map sensor, no air leaks had compression test was all good, idles spot on was a little lumpy but went back in as im sure it still wasnt good to drive as jerky, had co redone think he said he leaned it out more best he could but as much as possibly safe, still got the issue, does anyone know how else we can test to find issue exactly, also its still there from before it was chipped many thanks and looking forward to some feedback and help

also i forgot to mention is it possible a faulty or broken crank sensor will cause these issues as i was suggested by the garage that could be a sensor causing my jerkiness

could always be a knackered camshaft, my fiesta went through 3 of them over the years!

Sounds too me poor fueling

I would get it serviced and rolling road tuned

When he's setting it up is he using a wideband on the road, and tuning/testing out on the road?

For him to try leaning it out, it sounds like he's richening it for on boost driving and it's too rich low down causing the jerking at low speeds, hence him trying too lean it too clear it

With your 165 chip are you still running the standard injectors?

im on blues, and he was leaning it out cause it got really lumpy when hot on idle, are you convinced its fuelling and co, ive got an uprated fuel pump and recently put a new fuel filter on so that was free flowing up to the regulator
