From BBC website - "Mr Taylor bought the Fiesta for his stepson with the intention of restoring it, but it was beyond economical repair"

Sounds like familiar story i've heard a few times before

That would have been the better option

If i got clamped, the last thing i would think about is chopping my car in half.

I think its more to do with the fact that its no longer a car, so it can't be taxed there for it doesn't matter if its on the road or not. Fair play to the guy, sort of thing I would do lol! Put the traffic warden in the crusher and all.

i would of cut the beam in half and left the clamp and wheel on the pavement and pushed rest f car off it to really pi$$ them off!

that way i have not damaged the clamp and also that i would still get to play with a grinder!!!! :D
