Some spring questions

Postby Jur on Fri Jan 21, 2005 7:19 am

Hi,

My fester (mk3) currently has some Apex springs (-40) and koni shocks (top adjustable front, adjustable rears)

Bought myself a set of Eibach springs (Blue, with ford RS badge and Eibach Badge)

- How much will this set lower compared to standard, i've heard numbers like -25.. and -35mm

- Will the eibachs improve my ride compared to the Apex springs ??

All depends on spring rates and lengths really doesn't it? I say measure heights (eg arch clearance front and rear, and ground clearances) before and after you fit them Eibachs. Since you have them already, you might as well put them on and find out that way, once it's all settled again obviously :)

If the springs are from the Ford racing setup, you're looking at an average -25mm drop I think. Good springs though, the dampers that go with them are very nice aswell.
