not necess to change them every 6k but at least check them and check the distance between the electrodes u can get special spacer thingy so that u can adjust the distance correctlyas long as u check them and they look good then fine also look at the very back pages of the haynes manual(halfords dont mind u brousing!) and will give u pics of things to look for ie problems! :aviator:

well as i said if u go to halfords they dont give a s**t! they usually have at least one open and if not ask them nicely and they say u can open it, and if that dont appear to be working say u want to buy it but u want to check if its got [ERRR] u want in it. and if u get stiched up they have good return policy!

According to the haynes bible, the 1.4 and 1.6 cvh fuel infection engines (the xr2i one) should have an electrode gap of 1.0mm and the RST should have a gap of 0.7mm

I knew i kept my haynes manual for a reason :D

 The haynes manual is wrong again, standard RST's spark plug gap is 1mm as stated in the ford technical data book, i don't know what the gap for the 2i is because i didn't need to look when i did mine.

They are usually gapped correctly when they come from ford, but its best to check them to make sure.
