Spax Suspension Help

Postby scotty_boy on Tue Sep 28, 2004 12:32 am

morning all. :D

i've been speaking with Mike, 'FRS1800i' as he's got some Spax suspension for sale. He's said the code is V7872, they're meant for a '95 RS1800.
Will these fit my '94 Si16v? They're both obviously mk3.5's, so should have similar set-ups. But upon investigation Spax state that an Si should have another set up, code V7874.

Now is this a serious change, or will the 1800 spax bolt on. They're quoted at different ride heights (40mm on the 1800, 30mm on the Si).
So this suggests to me, that rather than the struts being different, the springs are of a different stiffness/ride height.

Any help or advice on whether the 1800 stuff with fit on my 16v Si is greatly appreciated :)
