Speedo cable

This is gonna b easy for most of u but i haven't got a clue.
Got a xr2 conversion in my 1.1 mk3 but when they did it the speedo cable snapped or summit,,,,,,,,,,, this was 5 months ago :lol:
The time has come to get it fixed but i need to kno do i get a cable for a xr2 or a mk3? Is there even a difference?
