Sportex backbox?

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

Sportex backbox?

I own a mk 3.5 1.6 16v ghia (same engine as the si) and was told that i could get a Sportex backbox but am unsure as to where or what company i could get this from been lookin on the internet and nothin, any help much appreciated. :Q

Your mounting points will be the same as a Mk3.5 so u could go for any b/b u liked.

Dont get a sportex they sound awful, i used to have one [ERRR] they were cheap, ended up saving and buying a magnex, save a few more quid and get a decent box :)

cheers pal, is there no in between cause i cant afford 2 spend £200 on an exhaust. cause i need 2 buy wheels, front and back bumper and lower it cause it looks like every other fezzer on the road and i can fit me head in the gap between the arches and me wheels. :Q

Just buy the rear box, will cost about £120 :wink: you might be able to get a powerflow one made not show how much they are tho :-?

Soz to butt in .... but I got a powerflow backbox with 3" inward rolled tailpipe, only a couple of months old for sale, what car have you got ? This has pipework attached with 50mm bore so will fit xr2i, but not standard 1.1s etc..

Silly me you already said, I would imagine it would go straight on if you could check the bore/diameter of your pipework, if you are interested ?

alright dan, just checked the bore, it seems bout 50mm (thats a quick check in the dark, will be able to check better 2moro). How much are you lookin for and where abouts are you? :Q

Bout £60 + p+p which will be £10-15 !! fairly heavy, can find out a more accurate price if you want ? I live in Dorset, Gillingham ?? Bout an hour north of bournemouth, where are you ?
