Spring Length

Does anyone know what the standard spring length is for a 1.6si ?
i been looking everywhere and i cnat seem to find it...
any help would be much appreciated

well i found some ford lowering springs.. but i dunno how much they lower by, sooooo if any kinda FT member would be able to measure an old set or anything that would be great :wink:

What make are these springs do you mean they are Original Ford RS ones from a 1.6 Si ?

Dont think that measuring them gonna help cos Height doesnt really come into it. You will prob find that lowering springs will have more coils and will be taller than the original ones, this is one of the reasons they are stiffer.

A lot depends on how many coils the spring has, the diameter of the coils, the distance between each coil the quality and type of material used in the construction of the springs etc.

Also if these springs are not designed for your car they wont lower the desired amount you may end up with your car getting higher instead of lower :aaah:
