spring problems????

i bought mk3 fiesta lowering springs for my car but showed a mate of mine and he said his were different. his springs coil in at the top and mine dont. i looked on ebay for pics of springs and some of them coil in at the top and some of them look like they dont. are mine not fiesta springs?

I think the front spring coils get smaller on the bottom actually, top is the same diameter as the rest. Might vary with make though if a company's designed the lower coils to fit in their own larger coiled spring cups on the shocks.
