as i have read, springs are enougth for lowering from 20mm to 40mm.
but in most cases u lose comfortable driving.
using whole kit,u'll be sure of maximum performance, and maybe u could lower it not 40,but 60mm.
but it depends on model.my mate on audi 80 put lowering springs and even got smoother ride.the type of those was "sport-comfort".
so there are many possibilities.only those having pumas could tell exactly.u should look for any puma clubs or forums.

Get a matched kit mate.

Your driving a Puma, so you don't want to go and screw with its great handling which is a result of all the matched parts working together. Chuck springs on it, and you will ruin it.

Ask around on a Puma forum and see what they recommend. Coilovers would be best, but they can be pricey.

i think i broke my back on just lowered springs, its harsh. the full kit not only gives you ( a little more comfort!) but muchly uprated handling
