Squeeky rear end!

Postby EssexRedFRST on Sun Feb 09, 2003 2:37 pm

Hi people! i got fairly new (under 6 months old) AVO road shocks on my FRST and there is this dam annoying squeeking coming from the rear left side of the car. I know there is a bush holding the rear supporting arm to the under side of the car, could it be that??? or is it more likely to be the shock?
I have adjusted the rate and it doesnt seem to make any difference.
And tried the WD40 approach.
Its driving me insane so if anyone has any ideas PLEASE let me know :x
Many thanks Graham

ive got an annoying knocking noise on my rear LEDA coilovers. im changing the bushes for uprated ones soon. does it squeek all the time or just at very slow speeds. if so it could be the tyre on the shock.

I've been told that its due to the running in procedure. They should be put on with the setting on as soft as can be. Then after a week or so start to tighten them up a bit more and more as time goes by. takes about 4 or 5 weeks so i was told by Mr X-Factor himself  A lot of people have this problem tho with avo's so i'd see about getting it swapped or something like that possibly. I know me telling u all this aint gonna fix ur problem cos its too late, but i think this is the cause anyhow so HTH a little mate
