Yes it will as the ST170 engine is still a zetec engine underneath...

The bulges in the st cam cover are for all the variable cam-timing gubbins.

Why not throw the rest of the engine in with it eh? :bonkers:

we put a ~150hp 1,8 Zetec engine in last year. Some new parts have to be added for this season, when its back from the new paint job

the indicators are from MTS (http://www.www.mtscarstyling.de), with integrated parking lights

I like the idea of this mod too. Would any other plastic cam covers fit?

I just tried it out - with the camcover of my brothers ST :D - and the cover won't fit in my rs1800... intake manifold & throttle valve have to replaced by mondeo or focus parts, cause the st170 cam cover is much higher than the std zetec cam cover...

I'll think i give my cam cover to powder coating and take some more leopard skin :bonkers:

Would any other plastic cam-cover fit? Or would this mod work if you say had a 2.0 mondeo engine with a Focus inlet?

you mean a cover from a series 2 zetec? This should fit without mods on intake manifold and throttle i think

Yeah. I just like the look of the plastic covers. Would be from a series 3 zetec though wouldn't it?

Instead of using a plastic cover you could give your standard cam cover to powder coating in matt black, it's looks nearly like plastic und fits 100%

Ok. Looked at getting this done, but it's kinda expensive really. Thought the plastic cover may be a cheaper and lighter alternative. Can't find any on eBay though. Doubt I'll bother until I drop the 2.0 engine in mind.

Thanks very much for the info though, even though I hi-jacked your thread. :)
