I should have thought the size would be a major obstacle!

The Mondeo engine bay is a little larger than the Fiesta

How about a rear mounted option? :D

This has been the subject of some discussion in the past, particualrly with reference to using the st200 / st220 engine. As to whether anyone ahs achieved it, I don't know.
Nothing to see here...

I've just bought a Mondeo Ghia V6 which has exactly the same engine as an ST24 (but car actually has higher spec!) and there's pretty much no way this engine is going to fit in a Fiesta:

It would be fun putting it in something like a Caterham though!

Would be bloody tight in a Caterham! Zetec in my dad's leaves just under 1cm clearance between pulley and the chassis at the front, and there isn't toooo much to play with width-wise either, so the V-angle wouldn't be welcome I don't think.

That's alright - just have the tops of the V-banks poking out the sides, hot rod style!

yes you can but the chassis rail needs altering they will even go in a mk2 fez as for the rear engine Ian Howell started one a few years back and its now in the hands of another good friend and will be completed by the end of this year depending on how much time he gets away from his job. and no it isn't easier to fit it in the back its been a major hassle.
