iv got the 13" ford alloys wheels can i lower it 60m on using the standard shocks, or will it handle bad, its a 5dr.

All the suspension people and tuning mags like maxy p say that u shouldn't lower ur car on standard shocks by more than 35mm. It probably would work on uprated/shortened shocks, but the standard ones weren't designed for this really. The springs are way to short and going over a large bump could cause them to pop out! then u'd be fu(ked when u find u've lowered ur car somewhat more than 60mm!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Suspension kits aren't that expensive anymore and for the amount u'd pay to put springs on ur car, and then have them removed in 3 months when the shocks are ruined and have to get a new set of shocks anyway, u may as well do it right first time round get matched shocks and springs, fitted all at once.

As i said if u do decide to go for just springs then don't go over 35mm. these will be fine as long as ur current shocks have done under 30k
