Standard FRST suspension??

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

I brought my car with uprated suspension spax shocks and jamex springs. I find on bumpier road the handling is seriously harsh and unpredictable, would gonig back to std RS suspension improve this?? or is the std suspension likely to make things worse. Sounds dumb but ive neva driven an FRST [ERRR] std suspension.

Will it still hold the road as well, is body roll gonna be a problem?

You will obviously lose some road holding if you return to std suspension.

Does the car have poly bushes ??

Standard fiesta turbo suspension is just a tad too stiff for the mk3 chassis - its an effort to cut body roll, but the chassis really isnt that stiff. Aftermarket stuff is just crap for the roads, ok ona flat, undulating track and thats about it

The best thing is standard suspension and a zetec-s rear beam

What wheel size and tyre combo have u got? This could make a difference. If u'r rolling round on 17s rather than the standard 14s then it would make a huge amount of difference lowered or not.

Also how many miles have ur shocks/springs done? if they are knackered could cause unpredictable handling. Same with wishbones, if they've done over 30,000 u should really be thinking of changing them!!

Cheers

Well i have to say that i am running adjustable Koni's on my FRST and i have them set up for the best of both worlds. Not to hard to be problematic and not to soft. Body roll is nowt. although i am still on 14's but running 50 profile rather than 55's on the front.

Fitting a rear beam, yeah good idea but has a hassel factor asigned to it which i could do without. If doign the job fit the best and buy Koni's you will not be disappointed.
