####Standard FRST Wanted####

Postby lamby1 on Thu Apr 30, 2009 6:24 pm

Hi folks
I'm after a nice clean fiesta rs turbo. Must be standard though, i'm not into chrome and over 1000bhp lol.
I don't mind subtle mods like stainless exhausts and uprated suspention but more the original the better.
Cash waiting for the right car.
Cheers.

I have an Mk 3 rs turbo 1600 (rst)

I was trying to get it back to as standard as possible as they are worth more that way, and more of a collectors it.

the motor is standard, the interior is standard, down to the floor matts that are factory RS turbo ones.

I brought the car not going and have tried to get it back to a state where it can be put back on the road, but lost my job, laid off which means the toys have to go.

I had all the rust cut out of the floor, and replaced the inner and outer sills both sides with receipts to prove it, and the only piece of rust is the bubble around the filler cap.

It has had a respray a couple of years ago, but still looks great, in a slighty darker red, has 15'' fox alloys but are curbed, the interior is great as the seats and carpets were taken out and cleaned when it had the cancer (rust) cut out. It has a new battery, alternator, thermostat water pump, and just needs a few finishing touches to bring it back to standard, like

New shock absorbers and I was going to put polyeurathane bushes right round
Passenger window regular
New drivers door card since the one on has a mind of its own
Little bits of trim like the inside cover to the door wing mirror - drivers side
the side coulings (bump strips) with the green strip that carries on through the front and rear bumpers they are now so expensive! are not on the car

Motor wise I think it is fine but needs a new earth cable to help out, and I think the ignition relay needs replacing as the car stalls as soon as you select reverse, or turn the cooling fan on.

I want to finish the car and be proud to drive it, but no work means bills need paying.

If you want pictures or more information let me know, or give me a call.

Cheers Andy
