Standard Stereo Wires???
Hi all
Was wondering if someone could tell me which speakers are which with the standard wiring??
ie. FR,FL.RL,RR

You don't have a + and - because sound is a wave, not a DC signal. It alternates up and down from 0.

ermmmmm im sure you have + & - on speakers was the last time i looked! I dont really want to wire my speakers up backwards!!
What i want to know is which colour is + and which colour is -?

You can't wire them up backwards. Swapping the wires over just turns the signal upside down, which makes no real difference. That's why there's no instructions for which wire goes where.

There is a "positive" and "negative" wire and if one or more speakers are wired up incorrectly they will be out of phase and it will sound sh!t.
You will be able to find out which is which from the Haynes.

Ah yeah. Forgot that. I stand corrected. I'll just go see if I can find a link I saw this morning that may help.

needs to be the same as the speakers otherwise it will run out of phase
