std frst bottom end how much power will it take?

as title, its got a 285t2 cam mongoose k&n an a t3 turbo running about 6psi and its slow as spork don't really want to buy chip and injectors if its going to blow the bottom end to bits though any advise appreciated

up the boost 2 12psi :Q but you'll need a chip 2 do that

will take 180ish safely :D maybe 200 :wink:

Have heard from some Escort people that can run at 15psi all day long if its all setup properly

im running 14psi on my standard bottom and have been for ages, its been set up well :D

Yea i run about 185-190bhp at 14-15psi on standard bottom end, chipped by pts and setup was checked by power engineering about a month ago who said it was "fudgekin storming" :D

what about arp bolts are they nessasary? burton power told me i should have them fitted for anything over 150bhp?

for how long ?

ARP bolts will be for making sure everything stays together, as i found out the Ford head bolts do give up :rolleyes:

The usual guess is a standard bottom end will take 50% more power from normal, so in theory it should take about 195bhp, but as we all know not every car has been treated well in its life.

Greg, my head bolt snapped aswell, but mine was as we were bolting down.

someone been cutting corners during manufacture me thinks.
