Postby John_D on Tue May 02, 2006 1:52 pm

hey-ho, noticed that the mk3 1.1 has some movment in the steering wheel, u can move the wheel up and down (approx 10mm), took the cowling off and had a look, it APPEARS that is not the wheel but the part is attached too, however this part runs into what appears to be a black metal tube, im assuming 1 of these is the column, the black tube dont move though it looks like it move's fractionally inside this?

is this normal or do i need a new column or something else?

ps ive noticed that sometimes the steering can be heavy but not others, anything to do with this?

pps it has'nt got PAS
