if your not bothered about sound then keep the standard ones, if you want a better sound then go for some different speakers. 5.25" should fit in perfectly, you can go to 'maplin' electronics and get a pair from there, i paid about £9.95 for my pair for my old car, but they were on special offer.

Get some Dynamat and stick it on the door skin behind the speaker as this will reduce the sound being transferred to the door skin as vibration

I got some Pioneer jobbies from some Garlands, nr Lewisham, cost me £28 and they are f*cking brilliant. I had those £9.95 ones from maplin for about 2 weeks before they blew, but these ones are louder, bassier, and more colourful!

I normally use the old £9.95 ones to stick to the roof (magnet) and listen to cd's/radio/ipod while I'm fiddling with the car.

One tip - don't buy super cheap. I had to replace my standard speakers, cause the cone lining had seperated from the plastic and caused some really annoying vibration...

I have partially dynamatted (extreme) front doors but really can't hear much difference in sound. I just bought the speaker kit for about £15. It supplies two pieces which are put around the each speaker, but as i said difference is minimal, perhaps i just need more of the stuff

The JBL speakers should serve you well, i had their old coaxials (526) up front and they were pretty decent, although i've since upgraded to JBL components and put the co-ax's on shelf. A sound investment regardless  no pun intended

The only thing that bugs me about their new range is that they all run two ohms, i actually bought the old 4ohm model comps as apposed to the new ones, as i'd be surprised if an intenal HU amp is two ohm stable. Perhaps i was just being too cautious though, hope they give you no problems.
