Bonjour!

Unfortunately mate i don't make any of the fabrications you see on my site, i asked a local engineer to manufacture hem for me and i'm certain theres an engineer in your area who can do the same. I literally took the zetec fuel rail, the fiesta fuel rail, and the fiesta injector to the engineer and said can you make me this (pointing to the fiesta rail) to fit in there (pointing to the zetec fuel rail) and he did the rest....

Hope that helps

Matt

You ditched the Japmobile for a TVR now then Matt? Got a thing with yellow by any chance? How are tricks?? How's Leigh and the gang? It's been 9 months!

Sorry about the delayed reply, not on here much anymore.

Yep, Evo went back in July and i bought my TVR mid August, its a TVR Chimaera 450, 4600cc Rover V8 Engine, decatted (theres 3!) and with the 'cherry bomb' exhaust upgrade, mild cam and chip. Its Halcyon Midas in colour, effectively pearl yellow with the Prussian blue leather interior and colour matched dials option, i love it :)

There is nothing quite like the sound of the V8, and thats why i decided it was time for the Evo to go for something ive always wanted, 8 cylinders. Without a doubt the Evo is quicker point to point, but its not all about performance any more, its about the drive.
I do feel like a bit of a mincer though with the roof down, not usually my thing, but the drive is sooooo much nicer without the roof.

Check out my thread on pistonheads, loads of pictures of it in there, including some from a recent drift day i did at Oulton parks rally circuit.....

Got myself a little Saxo VTS too, its a silver phase 1.5 VTS, black 15" wheels, exhaust and filter. Bought it as a MOT non-runner, Cat D for real cheapness to replace my crappy Metro runabout at the moment, although its costing a little more to fix up than i first planned as EVERYTHING must be working for me haha. Going to the ring for a stag doo in May/June in it, so bought this car as a runabout come track car for that trip and the other track days i want to do this year. The TVR will never pass the noise tests for most tracks (its 107db at 4krpm without my trackday silencers, about 100db with them, you can see them fitted in some of those Oulton park pictures) and i don't think i'd like to stuff it either with its full fibreglass body!!

Leigh and the others are doing good thanks, i'll let them know you were asking about them. Leigh has his RX7 up for sale though, time to get a house and stuff so its gotta go, be a sad day when it goes, he got it tuned up to 320bhp, and it goes like a train now! Leons still got his R32 Golf, he keeps saying he's selling it but never does, loves it too much haha.

Hows you?

Cheers

Matt

That's quite a striking colour I bet, and that photo from the roll hoop of the cabin is tres cool! I bet you're loving that - bring on the summer again hey? I don't suppose I'd be too keen on taking a car like that around a track for a good beasting either. It'd be no small repair bill even with a 15mph shunt with a tyre wall :( Glad you've got a bit of a dream car now though, good on you! You've certainly sampled you fair share over the last five years or so!

I had no idea Leigh had had the RX7 beefed up, when was that? Bet he was chuffed with it! What a crying shame it's got to go though :( He must be climbing the walls back home now. It really is a balance between a helpful luxury and a nuisance for everyone, living at home...I guess the balance must be flat on the floor on the side of "nuisance" now! Has he got a lady companion to move in with? I know a lad down here who reminds me of Leon actually - it's just clicked now you mentioned his name! Glad to hear he's still happy enough with the Golf though. Life down here's been good thanks. One stunner of a summer, and every week brings masses of learning and interest. I'd really like to get up there to see what you're all up to at some point - another random drop-in. It's going to be an annual event I think!

Theres just not enough cars in the world to have the same one twice :) I reckon either a Cerbera 4.5, a VX220T, or a Lotus Esprit next (All in yellow of course) haha

Leigh's RX7 has been tuned up for about 6 months now, he took it to pod and got a 13 dead in borderline conditions so he was very happy with that, but the time for diesels and 'economy' is upon him, it'll come to us all i guess.
He's got a lady now, but i don't think he's planning on moving in with her just yet.

Summer down south is supposed to be lovely, i'm just getting into this power kiting lark (only been at it a couple of weeks) and there has already been suggestions that we should head off down south for a nice beach with a breeze. But for now Blackpool beach is sandy and breezy enough!!!

Thanks

Matt
